What Are Star Ratings?

Choosing a primary care provider or Urgent Care Center that’s right for you is an important decision.

To aid your search we’re providing you their results from our patient experience survey in the form of an easy-to-compare star rating of patients’ overall experience with their primary care provider. We’re also using survey results to give you an easy-to-compare star rating of whether our recent patients will definitely recommend our Urgent Care Centers to others.

We use the federal government Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (CAHPS) survey for clinicians and medical groups, and it’s independently administered by Press Ganey.  All ratings are from verified patients, anonymous, confidential, and reported in their entirety.

Our patients are surveyed right after their visit, either by paper survey in the postal mail or by email including a secure link to Press Ganey’s website.

We believe more data ensures a more accurate rating. That’s why we wait to post ratings until a primary care provider or Urgent Care Center has at least 30 patient responses so that consumers can be confident that a rating truly reflects their overall patient experience. Our star ratings are derived from all patient surveys in the last 12 months, and ratings are refreshed on our website at the end of each calendar quarter.

We are currently posting star ratings for Urgent Care Centers and primary care providers including doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants because they are the specialty sought most frequently by consumers. You may see providers without a star rating yet. Over time, the number of rated providers and types of provider specialties will increase.
